Blogging Rhymes with Awesome
Yesterday, during the writing of my most recent post about the Legend of Zelda series of video games and the impact that it’s had on my life, I once again realized why I do so love this blog. And that is this: as I write, I discover things about myself that I hadn’t realized before. Take, for instance, yesterday’s post. I always knew that I like Zelda, and I always knew that it was very nostalgic. But, I’d never really cognitively realized that playing Zelda games was something of an attempt to reconnect with my younger self. And I wasn’t really sure why I was sad when I finally finished Twilight Princess until I sat down to write about it.
So, despite my small reader-base, I will continue writing, if not for your benefit, then for mine. Don’t get me wrong, I greatly appreciate all those who read and/or comment on my blog, and that really helps motivate me to write. But, I still do go into each post with the primary intention of better understanding and organizing my own thoughts. And hopefully, you’ll get something out of it too, but honestly, it’s all about me here.
Wow, I never realized I was that self-centered.

I’m the same way about blogging. (Do you like how I so subtly turned the focus from your self-centered you to me at the blink of an eye?) When I blog, I usually end up saying things that hadn’t even occured to me yet, but somehow my thought process seems to run away with me.
lol that’s why sometimes it’s better for me to write things down on something other than a public blog.
